95% of all welding has been done - just front and rear valances, small floor sections and bumper hangers to do. All panels to finish car are included as are all lights, glass, engine, bumpers, semaphores etc, etc. Car is RHD and has V5. Type 2 Bay window panel van
The time has come for me give someone else the chance to own this beautiful 1979 Bay window camper. I brought it just over three years ago from a guy in Exeter who had spent £9,000 on a complete “back to bare metal” restoration, which included a new 1600 petrol engine. I have got loads of photos of this being done. The outside was perfect but I have proudly completed the interior. I use her ever day to drive to work and back and she has never let me down, even in the winter. My wife and I go away in her whenever we can and we have had some great times all over Cornwall. I will sell it with the cool box and cooker so she is ready for another summer of fun. I entered her into the “show and shine” at the Cornwall VW show 2 years ago and she won third place. I have had the van serviced every year and the last one was done a month ago. Here are some of the features of this beautiful van. We are both non smokers.
• Bespoke stainless steel exhaust made by a local garage and comes with a lifetime guarantee.
• The wheels, which are 18 months old, are 17 inch Mercedes coated alloys with low profile tyres in excellent condition.
• Two other front grilles. One is plain yellow and the other is a laser cut steel grille with “LUVLY DUBLY” on it.
• Spare number plates (for the MOT !!!).
• 12 stack CD multi changer with remote control.
• 4 speakers, 2 in the front and two in the rear.
• Fixed bed in the rear with new mattress last year.
• Two ring gas cooker with grill complete with medium gas bottle.
• Removable cool box that runs off the cigarette lighter but you can get a connecter to run it off 240 V. Looks like a fridge inside.
• Loads of storage space together with seating for two.
• Soft furnishings-matching curtains and cushions.

1977 1.6 Westfalia Deluxe
Bay Window Camper
Bert is a Deluxe model with original chrome bumpers and trims and a
rare sunroof (in need of minor repair). She also has a currently
disconnected petrol heater. Included with the van is an original type
roof rack, waterproof van cover, newly installed CD player, Type 2 Jack,
fire extinguisher, spare parts including fan belt, bulbs, oil, headlamp
eyelids, and novelty horn!!!
The van is used as daily transport and is an excellent starter everyday.
We have used it on many long distance holidays and it has been a
pleasure to travel and sleep in!
Service History - Regularly serviced at VW specialist, MOT until March
08, Breezed through previous MOT's, Wax oiled regularly, New
carburettor, New fuel pipes, New full exhaust, New fanbelt. It will be a
shame to see her go, but round the world travelling forces very
reluctant sale!!
